2. What data is processed?

Auto Sudoku stores only one type of data locally on your device:

• Best times per difficulty level: Your fastest completion time for Easy, Medium, and Hard is saved locally to display on the home screen.

3. Game function (offline)

The game runs fully offline. All puzzles are generated on-device. No network requests are made for core game functionality.

4. Anonymous Usage Analytics (Aptabase)

Auto Sudoku uses the analytics service Aptabase for aggregated, privacy-respecting usage analytics.

Primary purpose: General product improvement - understanding which features are used and how the app performs in real-world conditions.

Secondary purpose: Understanding what vehicle data and platform capabilities are available across different Android Automotive devices - insights that directly inform which features can be built in future app versions.

Aptabase assigns an anonymous session identifier to each app session. This identifier is not linked to any personal identity, contains no personally identifying information, and is not used for cross-app or cross-device tracking.

The following technical events are recorded:

• App opened and session ended (with approximate session duration)
• Features used (e.g. game started, puzzle solved, difficulty selected)
• Vehicle properties and platform capabilities available on the current device (recorded once per device build, anonymised)
• Platform metadata (OS version, device type)

Analytics data is processed by Aptabase for aggregate analysis. No individual user profiles are built from this data.

5. Permissions

• INTERNET - used exclusively for anonymous usage analytics via Aptabase.

6. Local storage

Best times are stored exclusively on your device using DataStore. No data is sent to any external server for storage.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data under applicable law.

Since the app does not maintain any central user accounts, locally stored data can be removed at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
